What is an easy way to take your wine frappé to the next level? Add unique flair with a variety of garnishes! Garnishes are a great way to complement the flavor of your wine slushy while adding a special decorate touch to its presentation. They can range from simple and easy to prepare to more involved, depending on your preference. Try these ideas for wine frappé garnishes at home and let us know your favorite combinations!
Serve a watermelon wine frappé with a wedge of fresh watermelon.
This is an easy way—and one of our favorites this summer—to add a simple garnish to a variety of fruit-flavored frappés. To accomplish this garnish for your watermelon frappé, slice your watermelon (or any desired fruit) into small wedges or pieces. Then, add a small slit to the middle of the fruit, allowing you to place it onto the rim of your glass. Instant garnish! This makes for a delicious, refreshing treat at a summer picnic. We also love this idea with whole strawberries for our strawberry daiquiri frappés or strawberry rhubarb frappés.
Drop a skewer of cherries on a wild cherry frappé.
To add this sweet garnish, spear seedless maraschino cherries onto a toothpick. Place the spear inside the glass. As you enjoy your wild cherry frappé, the maraschino cherries will add a boost of flavor to the cocktail—and result in a sweet treat for you enjoy after your drink is finished.
Pair a Belgium chocolate martini frappé with dark chocolate.
A Belgium chocolate martini frappé is a decadent treat by itself. Take it to the next level with a garnish of dark chocolate. You could sprinkle chocolate shavings over the top of the drink, or place a piece of chocolate into the drink. Another idea is adding a sprinkle of cocoa powder. All of these chocolate options sound wonderful to us!
Add a sprig of fresh mint to your mojito frappé.
Fresh mint has such a light, sweet flavor that is a perfect enhancement to many cocktails, including a mojito frappé. Mint lovers may also consider adding it to their next pitcher of margaritas or sangria frappés as well. This is a quick garnish, too: Just add a sprig of fresh mint, or several individual mint leaves, to each glass before serving.
We hope you enjoy trying some of these garnishes with your wine frappés! Be sure to try Nectar of the Vine’s Watermelon Frappé, the August 2015 flavor of the month, which is perfect for summer. Discover your next favorite wine frappé today!
